Another Retail Chain Goes the e-Commerce Way

Sleepy’s, a specialty mattress retailer in the Northeast with more than 700 stores, will now sell online through Sleepys.com.

Don Rowley, EVP and CIO, stated, “Sleepy’s new e-commerce site was built after research showed that many customers were looking for another avenue to shop in keeping with their busy work and family schedules.”

This online store will sell a wide range of mattresses, bedding supplies, and sleep accessories to customers within existing delivery service areas of the retailer’s stores. But in the near future, the e-commerce site will ship accessories throughout the US in accordance with its goal of promoting nationwide sales.

There are some interesting features on the site which will benefit their online customers. The online Sleep Center will explain the benefits of good sleep on general health while the Mattress Finder will assist customers in their choice of mattress. Customers also have the option of scheduling in-home delivery at a time convenient to them.

Sleepy’s may soon acquire the assets of 1-800-Mattress.com and use this nationwide delivery network to serve their customers.
