This month’s Traffic Ranking indicates that Bizrate has been heading the list. Following Bizrate closely, is Nextag with around 17 million visits. NexTag provides comparison services across various categories like products, financial services, travel, automobiles, real estate, education and more.

Next in the pipeline is Shopzilla, another leading comparison shopping engine. It provides Web retailing, customer satisfaction ratings and research programs, and email advertising opportunities. Though Shopzilla operates Bizrate, there is a wide disparity in their unique visitors and ranking.

With a compete ranking of 83, Pronto is the first comparison shopping engine to enter the social shopping space.

According to compete ranking, Shoplocal (133) stands 6^th, but it has greater site stickiness compared to the top CSEs. This may be due to the new feature “Back to School” which has caught the user’s attention. Though Pricewatch has the lowest rank, it has the highest number of page views (14.6), while there are hardly a million visitors.
